The last stop of my Bali trip was at the incredible resort, The Bale. Located in Nusa Dua (the southern part of Bali) this resort is nothing short of amazing. This is definitely somewhere to visit if you are looking to treat yourself and have a night or two of absolute luxury, or perhaps the perfect place for your honeymoon. Read on to hear more about my time at The Bale.
There are only 29 pavilions located at The Bale, giving you peace and quiet as well as dedicated service from the staff. The pavilions all have their own private pool, day bed, fully stocked mini bar and beautiful bathrooms. Our bathroom was huge, with one bath, an indoor and outdoor shower (because sometimes its nice to have a choice :p) and a double basin. The private pool had a lawn by it which we used for sun baking during the day. With everything being available in your pavilion its very easy to to not leave! The main pool is worth a visit though, it has day beds surrounding it as well as lounges built into the pool so you can sun bake whilst being in the water.
To make life even easier the Bale offers butler service to all rooms, and literally all of your needs can be taken care of. There is free transfers to the main part of Nusa Dua, as well as free airport transfers which is a nice touch. All the staff are extremely friendly and provided fantastic customer service throughout our stay.
The Bale also has a beach club for those that prefer the ocean. You can choose to walk or take advantage of the free transport offered to head to the beach where deck chairs are provided for you to use. This area is only for guests of the Bale and not for just anyone to use, something I haven’t experienced before in Bali.
The Bale has three dining options on site, room service, a tapas bar and a restaurant. The restaurant (called Faces) has a menu offering both Indonesian and Western cuisine. As well as dining at Faces, you are also able to participate in a Balinese cooking class and enjoy 2 hours of cooking with a local chef. Room service is always a bonus and the menu was huge, you can also arrange to have a private BBQ in your villa. The tapas bar (called Tapa Bistro) is located above receiption and has a super cool, romantic vibe. The menu has a huge range to choose from and its easy to sit there for hours listening to the guitarist singing acoustic songs.
There is an amazing spa located at The Bale and I would strongly recommend you spend as much time there as possible. We treated ourselves to a massage and it was one of the best I have ever had. The staff are incredibly professional and begin your treatment by providing you with a locker for your belongings and a robe to wear. We were led into the treatment room and once our massage was over we were provided with tea and snacks. The spa also has the Bliss restuarant which provides healthy meals and drinks that you can enjoy before or after your treatments.
